Service Description
Our 6-Week Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) Program is a ground-based experience designed to help participants build confidence, communication skills, emotional regulation, and healthy boundaries through guided horse interactions. Each session is 45–60 minutes and held once per week in a supportive, structured environment at Silver Mane. Participants work with horses through grooming, leading, obstacle activities, and other groundwork exercises — all tailored to their comfort level and ability. This is not a riding program. It is a learning-based program where horses help teach powerful life skills in a calm, hands-on setting. Program Highlights - 6 weekly sessions (45–60 minutes each) - Small group or 1:1 format (as needed) - Ground-based horse activities (no riding required) - Focus on confidence, communication, boundaries, and emotional growth - Inclusive, choice-based participation with support options available Great for participants who need support with: - Confidence and self-esteem - Emotional regulation - Communication and boundaries - Bravery and trying new things - Leadership and responsibility What to Expect: Participants will be guided by Silver Mane staff through safe, structured horse interactions. Each week builds on the last, with a clear theme and simple goals. We prioritize emotional safety, respect, and growth at every step.
Cancellation Policy
Silver Mane Stables – EAL Program Policies Our Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) program is a 6-week, ground-based program using guided horse interactions in a safe environment. Program Format • 6 weekly sessions • Sessions are individualized to participant needs and readiness • Silver Mane may adjust activities/pacing for safety and success Cost & Payment • Program fee must be paid in full upfront to reserve a spot • Enrollment is not confirmed until payment is received in full • Payment is due no later than 1 week before the start date unless otherwise approved • Current pricing is listed on the booking page and may change Attendance & Make-Ups • Up to 2 make-up sessions are allowed • Make-ups must be completed within the same calendar month as the missed session • Make-ups are subject to availability • Missed sessions beyond allotted make-ups are nonrefundable and not guaranteed to be rescheduled Arrival • Arrive 15 minutes before each session • Late arrivals may result in a shortened session Parent/Caregiver Requirement • A parent/legal guardian/designated caregiver must remain on-site at all times • Participants may not be dropped off unattended Weather • Silver Mane may cancel, reschedule, or modify sessions due to unsafe weather/farm conditions • Weather cancellations by Silver Mane will be rescheduled and will not count against make-ups Illness • Do not attend with fever, vomiting/diarrhea (within 24 hours), contagious symptoms, or unsafe condition • If a participant arrives ill or becomes ill during a session, it may be treated under the make-up policy Refunds • Refunds are not guaranteed once enrolled • Pre-start withdrawals may receive a refund or credit at Silver Mane’s discretion (less applicable fees) • No refunds for missed/unused sessions or withdrawal after the program begins, except at Silver Mane’s sole discretion • If Silver Mane cancels the program, a refund or credit will be provided for any unused portion Safety & Required Forms • Participation is based on participant comfort and staff safety assessment • Participants/caregivers must follow barn rules • Equine activities involve inherent risks • Before participation, Silver Mane requires a signed Hold Harmless/Liability Waiver, intake paperwork, and photo/media release preference on file Questions Contact Silver Mane before booking if you’re unsure program fit.
